About the blog

I’m a SAHM and this is a new journey for me since I just took up sewing ‘seriously’ in November 2008. Although I have always been interested in handicraft in general, I found it hard to pick one that I liked the best and would stick to it. Finally, after many years of trying my hand at crocheting, knitting, patchwork, crosstitch and sewing, I found my calling. :)

And hence, the beginning of this journey Stitch By Stitch.

When I first started, my focus was to mainly sew curtains and bedsheet for home since those are very expensive to buy, more so living in Sydney and now that the economy is not doing too well. But these days I find myself more interested in sewing childrens clothes mainly for my daughters, Arianna and Kathleen-Rose (KR). And soon, for our little man due in October 2010. :)

The journey thus far has not been easy at all as I am still learning the ropes and it just dawned on me that the world of sewing has no boundries. I am glad that I finally found something that has lasted this long since I have a rather short interest span [as oppose to attention span!]. This is self-taught aside from the couple of years of the basic in home ed back in school! :P

Feel free to link me up and I’ll be more than happy to exchange links with you. Would love it even more if you had foolproof sewing patterns to share with me too! :)

Thanks for stopping by…happy sewing!
