Finally, I have conquered my fear of cables.
Yes, I am quite sure that I can handle other types of cables which is why I will be (finally) tackling a Milo.
When I chose this pattern, I did so because it was labelled ‘easy’ – I have now learned my lesson…..easy is not ALWAYS easy! Anyway, I stuck to my guns and although I got side tracked a few times (more like went off the rails!), I made it through!
Pattern : Lion Brand’s Cable Vest by Sarah Hoadley (Free)
Yarn : Lion Brand Cotton-Ease (Stone & White)
Needles : 5mm
While I enjoyed knitting this up, I am not too sure how long Brandon can wear this. I had misjudged his sizing and turns out that the neckline is way too small!! No, apparently I cannot blame his boof head coz other knitters had the same problem. Since I did not research about this pattern beforehand, I just modified the shoulder seam (as what others did as well) and added buttons to hold them together. Looks like crap, but it works and if it can get me a wears out of it, I say why not!
Should I give it another go? Maybe…but now, I’m waiting to tackle a Milo. Bring it on! ^.^
